How does your garden grow?

As summer progresses, most gardens and fruit trees are in full swing and green grass abides.

We Humans aren't the only ones who enjoy the taste and benefits of fresh fruits and veggies.

Natural, organic, made in the USA Healthy Dog  treats are another great convenient way for our furbabies to reap the antioxidant benefits of fruits and vegetables  year round too.

Bell Rock growers provides Fresh Greens that you can even plant yourself! Garden Bites and
Fruitables are packed full of ...well, veggies and fruit.

Vegetables are a rich source of vitamins, antioxidants, and fiber and if you're a human you probably already know the importance of getting your servings of fruits and vegetables each day. With increasing concern about preservatives and other harmful chemicals in commercial dog foods, more dog owners are preparing their dog's food at home from scratch.
Although some would argue that vegetables are not a necessary component of a dog's diet, vegetables supply disease preventing phytochemicals that your dogs may not be able to get from other sources. Plus, many of the positive benefits of vegetable consumption were noted through animal studies. Although vegetables aren't a required component in a dog's diet, the phytochemicals found in such abundance in vegetables may help to prevent some of the chronic diseases seen in dogs just as they do in humans.

Would YOU Know what to DO?

In the face of a natural disaster our pets depend on us for help.

We recently attended a fundraising event for Indiana County Animal Response Team.

While there we met some old friends and made some new.

The Utopian Dog Bowls , Bling Bandanas, and Addie's doberman mug gift for her Paw Parent were some crowd favorites.

Most Importantly we learned some useful information in the
event an emergency situation hits Home!

As one would expect you need to prepare an emergency kit for your pets just as you would for any other family member. Food , bottled water, first aide kit, proof of vaccines,a picture of your pet and preferably one of you together to help prove ownership should you become separated..

collar, leash, portable kennel, list of any medications. Unfortunately you may find yourself in a situation where you have to leave your pet at home. This can be a great danger but there are a few things which can make it a little safer. NEVER leave them chained outside. Leave them loose inside the house with plenty of food and water. put a notice on your door, front window that advises your pets are inside and provide a phone number where you can be reached another contact and your veterinarian's name and number
