Rawhides are much softer and in general do not last as long as deer antlers. Because they are soft, rawhides may also be torn into large chunks which, swallowed whole instead of being chewed, may cause intestinal blockage. .....Tay and Tara have both done this , fortunately they escaped any blockage .
